How to Build a Workout Plan that Fits Your Busy Schedule
Written By: Kaylie Gragnano
When life gets hectic, finding time for fitness can seem impossible. But with the right strategy, you can incorporate a workout plan into even the busiest schedule. Here’s a few time management hacks we've found work for us and for members of our gym!
Assess Your Free Time:
Look at your daily and weekly routine. Identify small pockets of time (20-30 minutes) where you can work out. Early mornings, lunch breaks, or evenings might be ideal. After 2020, virtual workouts took the world by storm! If working out at home during your lunch break works best for you, be sure to check out our virtual class options or products! There may just be one that is a fit for you!
Prioritize Short, Effective Workouts:
Opt for high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or circuit workouts that give maximum results in minimal time. 30 minutes of focused exercise can be more effective than an hour of low-intensity work.
Schedule Workouts Like Appointments:
Treat your workout like a meeting—non-negotiable. Add it to your calendar to create accountability and consistency.
Combine Workouts with Daily Activities:
If you're pressed for time, find creative ways to incorporate movement into daily tasks. Take the stairs, do bodyweight exercises while watching TV, or park farther away to get in more steps. For all our moms out there, the babes seem to love arm curls! Baby giggles and an arm workout? Win win!
Use Your Environment:
If you can’t make it to the gym, improvise with home workouts using minimal equipment. Resistance bands and bodyweight exercises can still provide a full-body workout.
Plan Ahead:
Prepare your workout clothes and gear the night before to avoid wasting time in the morning. Having a set workout plan for each day also cuts down on decision fatigue.
Maximize Rest Days:
On non-gym days, focus on staying active by walking, stretching, or engaging in other low-impact activities like yoga to keep momentum going.
By making exercise fit your schedule instead of the other way around, you’ll create a sustainable plan for staying active and healthy. Have questions? We're here for you! Shoot us a DM on Instagram!
